HAVE YOU BEEN SAVING YOUR ALUMINUM TABS?
Send them in with your student for our Pumpkin Bucket Classroom Contest!
Each classroom has been given a pumpkin bucket to fill with as many tabs as possible between Wednesday October 14 and Friday November 13.
Richland PTO collects aluminum can tabs to donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Tabs can be found on such items as soda cans, soup cans, and pet food cans.
Once collected, the tabs will be weighed, and the winning class with receive an EXTRA SPECIAL CLASS PRIZE.
With only 4 weeks to collect, bring them in as soon as possible to fill up your class bucket!

Richland Elementary School celebrated our Leaders of the Month on Friday, recognizing students who consistently demonstrate what it means to be a leader at Richland.
Our student Spirit Squad kicked off the celebration with a customized Richland Cheer that embodies our mission: Lead Myself, Lead Together, and Lead with Balance, along with special guest - Richie the Panther!
These students were nominated for showing kindness, compassion, responsibility, respect, and a willingness to help others. They are the classmates who lend a helping hand without being asked, include others on the playground, participate in class discussions, treat others with respect, and make thoughtful choices that help create a positive learning environment.
Congratulations to all of our September Leaders of the Month! We are so proud of the positive example you set for your classmates each day!

Mark Your Calendars Richland Leaders - it's almost "Back to School" time, and we have lots of events to welcome you back!
Kindergarten Families: We have two events for you! The first is an informal "Welcome Visit" to give your little one a first look before Kindergarten Orientation. We welcome families on August 17th from 9am - 2pm. Please click below to sign up and learn more:

Kindergarten Orientation will be held Thursday, August 20th at 1pm - 2:30pm. Incoming students and families will have the opportunity to meet their teachers and explore their new school.
Back to School Open House is happening on Tuesday, August 25th from 3:15pm - 4:15pm for Grades 1-5! Meet your new teachers, visit your classrooms and drop off school supplies before the big first day on August 31st!
And finally, Back to School Night is taking place on Thursday, September 17th from 6pm - 7pm for families in grades 1-5!
